East Fife Triathlon Club is a friendly triathlon club based in North East Fife, Scotland with around 40 members. Members include all ages from late teenagers to super-vintage (70 plus) and range from beginners to several who have competed at world championship age group level. All are very willing to share experience and give advice to newer members. We are affiliated to Triathlon Scotland.
Racing is a part of the club's focus; while members don’t have to race we often find that as people get fitter in each of the three disciplines they are keen to pit themselves against the clock and fellow triathletes. The club is proud to boast many successes including Scottish Sprint, Standard and Middle distance Champions, British Championship medallists and a World Age Group Champion. Members have even qualified for what is often seen as the ultimate goal for triathletes, the World Ironman Championships in Kona, Hawaii. We have members (male and female) who have raced in Ironman competitions around the world including the notorious ‘Escape from Alcatraz’ race, as well as many other competitions. Our priority as a club is to encourage anyone interested in Triathlon to train and prepare for races in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
Now a high profile Olympic sport, triathlon is the UK’s fastest growing participation sport with increasing TV and other media coverage. It doesn’t require lots of expensive kit, but is a great way to add a variety of exercise to your life and to meet new people.
Come along and give it a tri!
